Manchester United confirmed the signing of Cameroon striker Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford until 2030. The 25-year-old emerged as one of the top scorers in the Premier League last season, scoring 20 goals in the competition.
The French-born player came through the ranks at Troyes, from where he made the move in 2019 to Brentford, who were still in the Championship at the time. "As soon as I heard I had the opportunity to sign for Manchester United, I had to take it, it's my dream club; the team whose shirt I had as a kid," the player told the club's official media.
Mbeumo's arrival joins Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha, signed from Wolves, as the Old Trafford outfit look to improve on last year's 44 Premier League goals scored - fourth lowest - as well as the 15th place finish to the season.
