Napoli are reportedly set to win the race to sign Vanja Milinkovic-Savic

Despite being linked to Leeds United and Manchester United, Napoli is allegedly expected to win the race to sign Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. Fabrizio Romano claims that Cyril Ngonge is probably going to go on loan to Napoli, while Torino custodian Milinkovic-Savic is nearing completing a move to the city. Leeds and United's alleged interest in the Serbian is probably over now.

With Andre Onana unable to make an impression after signing from Inter Milan in 2023 and Illan Meslier struggling in goal for years, both Leeds and United have doubts about their goalkeepers. According to reports, Milinkovic-Savic has a €21 million (£18 million) release clause, but it appears that Premier League teams haven't moved fast enough to recruit the 28-year-old. The 6ft 8in keeper began his career at United but was unable to obtain a work permit and joined Polish team Lechnia Gdansk in late 2014.
