Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde likely to be benched ahead of Tunisia face-off

Having locked a spot in the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup 2022, champions France will face off against Tunisia in their final Group D match later today. However, manager Didier Deschamps is likely to bench Barcelona duo Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde for the match against Tunisia.

Dembele has kicked off in both of France’s group matches so far against Australia and Denmark. While he did not exactly put up a fiery performance, the 25-year-old winger did mass a good number of set-ups for his forwards across the two matches. France boss wants torest him against Tunisia to keep him good for the Round of 16. Jules Kounde had only featured as a late substitute against Australia, but replaced Benjamin Pavard in the lineup against Denmark, slotting in at right-back ahead of the Bayern Munich ace.
