Petit thinks Pogba sign is a waste of money

Although his exit from Juventus is far from being a certainty, French midfielder Paul Pogba keeps piling up critics after the frankly disappointing performance he gave at the European Championship this summer. His talent is undeniable but in order to be sold as expensive as his agent Mino Raiola aims, Paul needs to be coming from a word class performance and winning a trophy with either his club or his national team and so far that hasn't happened. His compatriot Emmanuel Petit is convinced that Pogba is overrated.

After the below average performance Pogba gave at the Euros, Petit slammed the player in Yahoo Sports by saying: “They say €118m… it is a waste of money for me. Pogba has a great future, but this move is too early for him. I don’t like the situation around him all the time. We are making him out to be a big star, but he is not a big star to me. He hasn’t reached the level of the Champions League yet or the level with the national team. I am pretty sure he can do it, but this is too early for him.”

Petit also added that he doesn't think Real Madrid really want to buy the player: “People talk about him all the time in the press, but I haven’t seen it yet. For the moment, I am not really convinced. If Real Madrid wanted this player, they would put the money on the table, but they don’t want to fight with Man United for Pogba. There is a reason for that.”
