Real Madrid may lose out on signing Robert Renan

Real Madrid was interested in Robert Renan. However, Los Blancos will not sign the 20-year-old defender during the January transfer window. Zenit St. Petersburg and Inter de Porto Alegre have agreed to loan the talented defender. Since joining Zenit St. Petersburg from Corinthians in January 2023, Robert Renan has made steady improvements. In his 18 appearances for Zenit St. Petersburg, the 20-year-old has played fewer than 1,500 minutes.

The Merengues are looking for a centre-back ahead of the January transfer window. Carlo Ancelotti is dealing with long-term knee injuries to Eder Militao and David Alaba. With neither centre-back expected to return until the conclusion of the 2023/24 season, Real Madrid's manager has just two central defenders in his team. Thus, Los Blancos were also interested in Robert Renan. However, they will not sign the highly touted 20-year-old Brazilian defender, who will join Inter de Porto Alegre.
