Sane and Gundogan a great addition to City, says Hamann

Pep Guardiola has a good eye, in order to play in the same style he is looking to find with City and signing German players Ilkay Gundogan as well as Leroy Sane was the perfect move in order to preserve that same offensive style. Fellow compatriot Dietmar Hamann who played for decades in the Premier League, is convinced that Pep Guardiola made the perfect choice with these two transfers from the German Bundesliga.

Talking to Omnisport, Hamann said: "He's [Sane] a capable player. He's only just coming back [to fitness]. He came back late from the Euros. He'll come good, he's a very talented player. [The] most exciting forward player we've had in a long time, I would say."

About Gundogan, Hamann added: "Gundogan is a very clever player. He's just come back from injury. He found his way into the team very quickly, which did surprise me because he was out for quite some time. They are two very capable players who could be huge assets for City for years to come."
