Dortmund were demanding between €25-30m for the winger and Villa are desperately trying to get the deal done, so the feel will likely be met. It is possible that the deal will include performance-related bonuses.
The 25-year-old wants to leave the Signal Iduna Park and Dortmund are open to selling the winger which makes the process a lot easier. Malen is already said to have agreed personal terms with Villa, according to Dutch sources.
This means Die Schwarzgelben will be able to nearly double the first offer from the Premier League side as they offered €18m last week. More importantly, Dortmund will also be able to recoup the €30m they paid for Malen when he joined from PSV Eindhoven in 2021, a big success considering his inconsistent performances.
This money will then allow Dortmund to reinvest in their squad and bring in much-needed reinforcements.
