Kane doubtless about Bayern making the Champions’ final despite PSG defeat

Harry Kane believes Bayern Munich’s fighting spirit in their 5‑4 defeat to Paris Saint‑Germain will be vital in next week’s Champions League semi‑final return leg. Bayern looked finished when PSG struck twice early in the second half to lead 5‑2, but goals from Dayot Upamecano and Luis Díaz revived their hopes and transformed the outlook of the tie. Kane, who opened the scoring with a 17th‑minute penalty, said the match will ultimately hinge on “who takes their moments” in Munich, where home support could make the difference.

He admitted Bayern had chances to control the game earlier but praised the team’s determination to battle back from a difficult position away from home. Kane, now the first Englishman to score in six consecutive Champions League matches, highlighted the intensity and quality shown by both sides. He added that Bayern must replicate their late momentum, having identified Sunday’s issues as tyre‑related rather than tactical.
