Tenerife-born attacking midfielder Paz spent eight formative years at Real Madrid after joining their academy at the age of 12. Despite making just eight senior appearances last season, he made a significant career move by signing with Serie A newcomers Como. Since his transfer, Paz has flourished, contributing 13 goals and assists in Como’s impressive return to Italy’s top flight after 21 years.
His standout performances have caught the attention of his former club, Real Madrid, who are now strongly linked with bringing him back. This interest is fueled by a €9 million (£7.7m) buy-back clause, reportedly included in last summer’s deal, which allows Madrid to repurchase him on a sliding scale. The Spanish giants may reintegrate him into their squad or use him as a financial asset, much like they did with Álvaro Morata. Interestingly, Paz has also expressed admiration for Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, hinting at openness to a move there.
