Albiol interested in a Valencia return

During his time in Valencia, Raul Albiol became a great centre back for Spain and Real Madrid. His time with Los Blancos brought him one La Liga title which he won against Barcelona having a starring role in the back of the defense alongside other great defender such as Pepe and Sergio Ramos. But his peak as a football player came at Valencia, where he called the attention of many big clubs in Europe and was always well received by the fans.

Today, Albiol has agreed that he would love to make his return to the Spanish club for his last years as a football player. The man who revealed this information is Garcia Pitarch, who is the main responsible for all the transfers in Valencia and is reportedly attempting to bring Albiol back to his home club. As of today, Raul Albiol is still a Napoli player, but during the summer many changes will come as the Che club will do everything in their power to bring him back where he has always belonged.

Talking to Radio CV, Pitarch said: "The situation is in Napoli's hands. The player wants to come, but he has a [one-year] contract left over there. If we don't let players leave then it is difficult for us to approach any signings. I hope big players can come, but it's all dictated by what's on the market. If players don't leave, then it's complicated. The best thing would have been if many players had their contracts ending, and we didn't have to pay certain contractual charges."
