Allen expects more major performances from Wales

Despite having made history and having been received as true heroes in their native country, the Wales national team is a young generation that wants more success. They know they have one of the best players in the world by their side, and just like Portugal has Cristiano Ronaldo and can reach major tournament finals, the Welsh think they can absolutely do at least the same and even go further. They are convinced that they can completely make a bigger impact than they already have.

For Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen, Wales has everything to continue this momentum and find a lucky streak with which they can stay confident and perform at the same level they did during the Euros. Taking to the Wales website, Allen said: "We can keep this momentum going. We are all very proud of what we have done and hope this is the benchmark and that we can look forward to more future success."

Wales skipper Ashley Williams also thinks they can do great things, this is only the beginning for many of the players: "We've said to ourselves on the bus, imagine if we had won the tournament. Because looking at the streets, it feels like we have. After the Russia World Cup hopefully it will be the same again, but with a trophy."
