Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-2

At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Mikel Arteta's squad dominated to a 3-0 halftime lead before having to hold off a late Spurs comeback. Arsenal took the lead thanks to an own goal by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the 15th minute, and in the 27th, Bukayo Saka doubled the lead for the visitors. In the 38th, Kai Havertz scored a third.

Arsenal had to cling on to the victory when it seemed like its attention would shift to increasing its goal differential advantage over Manchester City, which was in second place. Spurs' Cristian Romero scored a goal in response to David Raya's ineffective kick.  Subsequently, following a VAR review, Declan Rice knocked down Ben Davies in the box, awarding Spurs a late penalty. In the 87th, Son Heung-min scored to set up a thrilling conclusion.
