Bartra doesn't regret leaving Barcelona

Just as it happened with other very talented players in Barcelona such as Pedro Rodriguez, Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara or Alen Halilovic, Marc Bartra just could not handle the pressure that comes with being a Barcelona player. The Spanish giants is arguably the best club in the last decade, this means that in order to belong in this squad, any player needs to perform at the highest level of competition.

However, none of the players who left the club will agree on this, they will always give different reasoning to why they chose to leave the club. In Marc Bartra's case, he needs to tell himself every morning that he loves Borussia Dortmund as a new challenge and that he is happy with his final decision. But make no mistake, Bartra knows perfectly that he just wasn't good enough to stay there, that's the bottom line.

But still, whenever he gets asked about it, Bartra says the following, this time to Rac1: "Now that I think about it, I do not regret leaving Barcelona. It was a difficult change, the most important decision I've made in my life and the best I've taken. Dortmund had a lot of interest in me from the very beginning. It was very satisfying to be part of Barcelona, but I feel very excited to be able to keep developing [at Borussia Dortmund]. Everything has gone very quick. There are many new things to learn, including a new language, and I almost do not have time to think because there are many league and cup games."
