Bauza has no doubts over Messi's motivation

Right after the San Mames clash against Athletic Club, Leo Messi ended the match with some groin problems which put his participation with Argentina in jeopardy. They AFA decided to still call him despite these problems, the player agreed and has traveled to his country in order to meet with his new manager Edgardo Bauza and discuss his role inside the team. The Barcelona press is outraged by this because they believe they are forcing Messi to play, but this Tuesday they realized Leo seems okay.

Bauza is pleasantly surprised by Leo's desire to keep playing and winning games for Argentina, he explained the man's commitment with the national team on FM Uno, a radio station in Argentina where he talked about the things they discussed together: "During our discussion, Leo showed me that he was very motivated. We talked about the Copa America, the World Cup. He's fine, and we'll take care of him."

About the constant heartbreaks Leo is going through, Bauza added: "It's not bad to think that finishing second is a failure. We are Argentina, and this way of thinking has led us to win titles. I'll find what I do with all my teams – balance. Argentina will attack when it has the ball and defend without it. It's my style of play and that's what my coaches taught me when I was a player - finding the balance in every game."
