Butland is ready to replace Hart in England

After the Euros fiasco in France this summer, the time has come to change a lot of things and players from the National team. A generational switch that needs to happen in all their lines, the new England manager should bring about new ideas and many veteran players will have to leave the team. One of the positions that need a change is the goalkeeper, Manchester City keeper Joe Hart is even being considered to leave his club due to his advanced age. Pep Guardiola wants German Marc-Andre Ter Stegen to replace him.

In England, it's more of the same and Stoke City goalie Jack Butland has stepped up to the challenge. Butland is convinced that he is the man who can fully replace Hart and bring England to glory on the international stage. He told Stoke's official website that: "It's a massive stage and he made some errors that he won't make again. That's the nature of goalkeeping and he's still someone I look up to. With his mental toughness and character he will bounce back and be the goalkeeper everyone knows he is.

"But it's tough to see because you don't want to be in that position and it's horrible to see it happen to someone else. Maybe it will give me an opportunity, but it's still down to me to perform and show everyone what I'm capable of. I'm hoping to have a good pre-season, start the season well, get in that first England squad and go from there."
