Celtic beat Feyenoord 2-1

Celtic's long-awaited Champions League triumph was secured by Gustaf Lagerbielke's first goal, capping a difficult season on a positive note. Brendan Rodgers was aiming for an unforgettable night as the Hoops sought their first home victory in Europe's top league in ten years, with chances of playing football in Europe having already been dashed after Christmas. After Liam Scales was taken down in the box, Luis Palma's flawless first-half penalty gave Celtic optimism for a historic evening at Parkhead.

In stoppage time, substitute Lagerbielke headed in Matt O'Riley's pass to give Celtic their first Champions League victory since Anderlecht in Brussels in 2017. Yankuba Minteh appeared to have salvaged a point for the Eredivisie Champions late on. With four points, the Hoops placed last in Group E, while Feyenoord will now play in the Europa League.
