Crystal Palace thrashed 4-0 Manchester United

Manchester United's 4-0 thrashing at Selhurst Park by Crystal Palace left them humiliated in the Premier League standings. Despite not playing over the weekend, United fell two spots in the standings. Ten Hag's team is now ranked ninth after Newcastle and Chelsea both decisively defeated United.

A victory today was crucial to United's hopes of qualifying for the Europa League the following season, given they had never placed lower than seventh in the Premier League's history. Scott McTominary and Bruno Fernandes were not with Ten Hag. Following the news that Harry Maguire had suffered a knock and would be out for three weeks, Jonny Evans made his comeback. But it was a dreadful night, as their dreams of qualifying for Europe were further dashed as the ragged team could not compete against a rampaging home club. Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta gave Palace a 2-0 lead at the break.
