Brazil's match against Paraguay last Tuesday was alarmingly weak, they showed a lot of inconsistencies especially on the attack. This team s one with Neymar and a very different one without him, that's what worries Dunga the most because he is convinced that they can't depend on just one player. He roughly criticized his squad after the last minute draw for not having the necessary technical qualities to overcome a negative result.
But despite not being able to get a victory, Dunga saw some positive sensations by the end of the match, but they suffered a little bit too much. At the very end, Dani Alves' goal was good enough for them to get the draw, and they even had a last minute play where Paraguay's goalkeeper saved his team with an agonizing save that left things in a tie. Dunga urged his players to focus more and bust out that fighting spirit every Brazilian must have.
"The beauty of football is that our next match is against the leader. It will always depend on ourselves. The heats itself, have always been complicated, from '82, '86, '90, '94... and this will be even more complicated. When I spoke after the last game, [I said] we needed to have technical quality with the ball and we have to be more physical when we are without the ball, that was it. We must fight, as opponents do. I saw a team that know how to react when things are not coming and need to change. We knew it was difficult."
