Eriksson also gets behind Pep Guardiola's project

Having a bunch of important football personalities behind your project is all good, but we¡ll never really know just how well Pep Guardiola will do with that style that is not negotiable. We already heard what Xavi has to say about what he expects from Pep, but this time, it was Swedish manager Sven-Goran Eriksson the one who spoke to Omnisport about the Catalan manager's chances of success. He has no doubt that Guardiola's characteristic style will be a great hit in England.

This is what Eriksson said: "Guardiola will do very well for City in the Premier League, there is no doubt about that. He won everything in Spain and he won almost everything in Germany with Bayern Munich. I'm sure he is going to do a great job there. That's good for the Premier League and the city of Manchester. One team has Mourinho, one has Guardiola, so it's not bad!"

Eriksson also spoke about the pressure Guardiola has to win the Champions League due to all the money the owners from Abu Dhabi Group have spent: "It's easy to understand the owners. They invest a lot of money in players and coaches. They want to see results. It's the same all over the world. If you're Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern, Manchester United or City now, they want to see results because they are big clubs and the amount of players they have is incredible."
