Foxes stun Manchester City

King Power Stadium finally enjoyed a great match from the Foxes against a title contender, Manchester City wasn't able to endure the spanking they received by both Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez. Especially the Algerian player was key in every single goal his side scored against the Citizens, he practically served Vardy all his three goals and was a constant danger at all times.

When asked by BT Sport if he had to repeat the same formation to make the players feel comfortable, a defeated Guardiola said: "No, I don't think so. They [Leicester] play long balls, we knew that and the second balls. When they win the ball they are looking for our back four with the movement of Vardy and the other players. They did it well. It's not about the system."

When asked if he believed the players lacked skills he wanted in all his players, Guardiola said: "No. No, no, no. We defended well with these players in the beginning of the season. Now we have to stand up and analyze what happened. And especially the players need to mentally make a step forward and say 'ok, we are here'. All the managers need time. They [Leicester] counterattack so tough and defend so well. We tried until the end. In every game there's [at least] one good thing. We tried but it's difficult at that level … after [going behind] 2-0, 3-0."
