Rodrigo Muniz, a substitute, handed Fulham all three points in the Premier League on Thursday as the team rallied from behind to defeat Chelsea, their neighbour, 2-1. Fulham's first victory at Stamford Bridge since 1979 hurt Chelsea's chances of winning the championship as the home team remains at 35 points, four points behind leader Liverpool, who will host Leicester City later.
After 16 minutes, Cole Palmer scored a superb goal for Chelsea after dribbling past two players and sliding the ball through Issa Diop's knees into the bottom corner. However, Fulham's tenacity and energy in the second half paid off in the 82nd minute when Harry Wilson scored the team's first goal at Stamford Bridge since 2011 with a close-range header. In the last seconds of the game, Muniz stroked home a ball from Sasa Lukic to secure all three points and move Fulham up to seventh place with 28 points from 18 games.
