Jese targets Champions League glory with PSG

Back in the day when he still didn't get his chance inside the first team, Spanish winger Jese Rodriguez mesmerized Zinedine Zidane and Carlo Ancelotti with his impressive game level. His style of football was even compared to Cristiano Ronaldo's because of his dribbling capabilities and capacity to score an important amount of goals. He even broke mythical Emilio Butrageño's record with Castilla, after scoring 27 goals in a single season with the youth academy during a single season.

Everything was set for him to succeed and his first season with the major Real Madrid side, started with a large number of amazing performances that placed him as the fourth striker behind the BBC. However, a nasty knee injury kept him out of action for 8 months which made his light fade away little by little. His progression as the player he can still become, turned into a poor performance last season and finally decided to go seek fortune somewhere else. Paris Saint-Germain announced his transfer this past weekend.

Jese told the media that: "After 10 years at Real Madrid, it was time to change. I'm at a great club that gives me the chance to progress as player. Surely here I will have more minutes. I had some words with [Madrid coach Zinedine] Zidane, he's a great person. He wanted me to play and he knew it was going to be difficult. I also want to thank to [Madrid president] Florentino Perez and my team-mates. During the time I have spent at Real Madrid I always gave my best. They will be always in my heart, but I don't wish the best for them in Europe as I want to win with my team."
