Juventus defeated Cagliari 2-1

Juventus defeated Cagliari 2-1 on Saturday to take a point lead in Serie A. On Sunday, Inter Milan will face Frosinone in an attempt to reclaim the lead. Inter will play Juventus following the international break. Filip Kostic won via two dead-ball scenarios on Saturday. Following a dull first half, Kostic's free kick to the back post, where Bremer was left unmarked to head into the far side of the net, gave Juventus the lead over Cagliari on the hour mark.

Inexplicably, ten minutes later, Juventus extended their advantage. Daniele Rugani chested in the rebound after Kostic's corner bounced against his chest and onto the crossbar. Alberto Dossena headed in a corner kick for Cagliari's goal as well. Since a 4-2 setback at Sassuolo in September, Juventus have not surrendered a goal in almost 600 minutes. Late on, Dossena came dangerously close to tying the score when Juventus goalie Wojciech Szczesny fingertipped a header into the post.
