Juventus should be a bit smarter in their transfers

Instead, Juventus has been handed a rotating roster of expensive and overrated experienced free players who do not mesh well with the club's long-standing tradition, as well as low-budget flier acquisitions and unfortunate loan dice rolls. While this is going on, Juventus does have some young, gifted players who are either being held back by players with more experience or by a stale, extremely defensive tactical approach under veteran manager Max Allegri.

Even worse, several Juventus's best young players were loaned out and never meant to return; instead, they found new homes elsewhere with superior support and funding. Look no further than Radu Dragusin and Matías Soulé, the season's top performers. Juventus should be more astute in their transfers, and Calciomercato.com suggests that they may do so by expressing interest in young Mateo Retegui, an Italian striker.
