A fantastic unbeaten run ended this Tuesday at Goodison Park as Arsenal lost 2-1 against Everton, Coleman and Williams responded well to alexis Sanchez's early opener. The Toffies proved to be an aggressive side that was always certain they were capable of ending this Arsenal run. Wenger on the other hand, always showed he is a sore loser by complaining about the ref.
Talking to BT Sport, a happy Koeman said: "You can speak as a manager, you can tell them what they need to change, but if you start like we started then you do not win any game in the Premier League. We were very nervous. Every ball was backwards, rather than playing forwards. I can understand a lack of confidence, but we know if you fight for every ball, be aggressive, you then see the reaction from the crowd and it's difficult to win against Everton away.
"We showed that after 20 minutes. We went face-to-face with them, and that's what you need to do against teams like Arsenal. With a lot of aggression you can make it difficult. We deserved the win and the three points today. You know the qualities of Arsenal and they keep playing between the lines. We had the dismissal of Jagielka in the last five minutes and then the goalkeeper Cech goes up. We were lucky with the last challenge in the box, but you need luck in life, and football to win the game."
Wenger complained about the ref by saying: "Of course it was no corner. You could see it from our side that it was no corner. I think we have to live with the wrong decision and it doesn't explain why we do not head the ball after you know. I think I'm really disappointed because [Mark] Clattenburg was in a really good position to see that play and he gave the ball out [off Arsenal] and it's not the first time we've been unlucky with decisions this season. Overall I don't want to speak about the referee too much, it's not my problem."
