Lukaku thinks Bale is better than Hazard

You would think that a Belgium player would get fully behind his most valuable asset in the wake of the upcoming quarterfinal Euros match between Wales and the Red Devils. But for Jordan Lukaku there is also being objective when a journalist asks him about the differences between powerhouse Gareth Bale and his very own Eden Hazard, both incredible players in their own right. But that's not how younger Lukaku's head works at all.

Who knows maybe he did this to taunt Hazard into giving another stellar performance like he did against Hungary, but he didn't lie when asked who the better player between the two really is: "Bale is for me perhaps slightly higher than Hazard. He's been playing longer at that level. At key moments at club level, Bale is the man and he stands there, while Hazard is still not consistent. The staff will devise a plan to neutralize Bale and Aaron Ramsey because they are the strongest players Wales have. So we will find a way to counter them but it will not be one player, it will be the whole team."

Winger Dries Mertens also spoke about the upcoming match and also referred to the quality they have on the attack: "It's a difficult team. They are very good defensively, they play with three defenders behind. They give you the feeling you can score a goal but in the end, they score a goal and have stopped you. If you don't play really well against them, you have a lot of problems. They also have a lot of quality up front."
