Man Utd target new striker

Manchester United are shifting their transfer strategy after missing out on Champions League football, focusing on more affordable striker options following a breakdown in negotiations for a £63 million deal.

The Red Devils faced a significant setback when Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson scored the only goal in the Europa League final, denying United a trophy and a coveted spot in next season’s Champions League. This defeat has forced the club to rethink its summer plans.

While United remain keen on signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves by activating his £62.5 million release clause, they are also exploring a list of fallback options. Among the alternatives are Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres and several other forwards who could offer value within a tighter budget.

As the summer transfer window unfolds, ’s recruitment team is adapting to new financial realities and targeting players who can strengthen the squad while fitting within a more constrained budget.
