Michail Antonio agrees West Ham United exit

On February 8, a South American writer covering the Brazilian team stated on Twitter that the Hammers forward was scheduled to depart the London Stadium following a trade deal. However, Gremio's knee issue, which is preventing him from playing for David Moyes , turned him off, and they decided to withdraw since he was expected to be a costly signing. The deal was still possible since the Brazilian transfer window is open until March 7 [Andy Newport, 1 February]. This means it was still possible after the UK deadline on February 1.

Antonio, 33, was mentioned as a potential departure during the summer transfer window, but his injury sustained in January limited talk of a move. Even though he has appeared to be heading out for some time, West Ham would be taking a huge risk by letting him leave at this point, since finding a successor seems unfeasible.
