Mihajlovic still has hopes on Balotelli

After practically saying that he has totally given up on him, AC Milan's manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has had a change of heart with rogue star Mario Balotelli. The Italian striker has always been a real trouble maker and has developed a nag for getting himself into trouble off the field. But according to his still manager with the Rossoneri, Mario has had a great deal of improvement attitude wise this season, but he expects more from him inside the field.

"I was blunt with him. I wanted to talk to him and look at him, because I've known Mario since Roberto Mancini gave him his Inter debut. He was a kid then. Many years have passed and he's changed, too. I found a mature person, a man, not a boy. I wanted to look him in the eyes, and he gave me the right impression. The key thing is that he's a good lad, and I really like him.

"He knows he's made a lot of mistakes, he's the first to admit that. It's true that everything is amplified when it comes to him, but it's also true that he brings a lot of that onto himself. His behavior has been 10 out of 10 this year. He has to do more on the pitch, but he knows that as well and we've often talked about it. I'm certain we'll succeed."

This might be Balotelli's last chance for redemption in football, he has wasted a large number of opportunities with several clubs already. AC Milan has given him the chance out of sympathy because club president Silvio Berlusconi feels identified with the player and is really rooting for him to succeed. But this really is his last call, otherwise he will get lost in oblivion and nobody will remember him as the great player that he can be.
