Nani trusts in Portugal's potential

Despite not being at the top of their game for the last two matches in their European Championship group, Portugal's potential and roster can't be denied as one of the best in the world today. However, in order to convince everyone they desperately need to win their last game against Hungary which will be the most crucial of them all. Given that they Hungarian side managed to defeat Austria in the opener and then tied against Iceland, they are not as urged for a victory as Portugal is.

The Portuguese side is the one that needs this win in order to secure a spot in the Euros round of 16, for Nani this will be a do or die moment. But he is convinced, that in order to get that victory they need the full support of their people who have been constantly putting them under fire for their lack of resolve against the goal. After the stalemate against Austria, Nani spoke to the press and confessed that they needed a win to secure the spot.

"We had to win, we gave it everything, we did everything right, but the ball did not go in, once again. What can we say? We cannot excuse ourselves with 'the ball won't go in, the ball won't go in' – we had chances. The team played really well. Once again we showed that we can play good football. We were superior, we controlled the match against a strong team that also played excellent football. I think our moment will come, and it's right in the next match. There is no other way, it really has to happen."
