Leicester City could not get past the draw at Old Trafford this Sunday, they really tried but the Red Devils were a worthy opponent that wasn't going to let anybody else celebrate the Premier League title at their own house in front of their own crowd. The match was very competitive and highly entertaining, the first goal came from United before the ten minutes of the first half with an Anthony Martial special. Not too late after that, skipper Wes Morgan scored a header after a free-kick taken by Drinkwater.
The second half had no more goals but that doesn't mean it was any less interesting, both sides attempted to score goals and Riyad Mahrez gave a really good performance, he just lacked that decisive goal or final pass. At the end, that 1-1 draw stayed in the score sheet and the Foxes missed their golden chance to win the Premier League at Old Trafford. But this opens up two more chances to do it before the end of the season.
The first one is tomorrow when Tottenham visit Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, if the Spurs lose they will automatically give the title to the Foxes who would celebrate before next weekend. The second chance will come at home next weekend when they face Everton, they will only need to win the game if the Spurs get a draw or win tomorrow against the Blues. Manager Claudio Ranieri knows how important tomorrow's Tottenham game is, but he won't be able to watch it.
Talking to Sky Sports after the game, he revealed the news and analyzed the result: "I'd like to watch the match, but I think I am on a flight back from Italy so it will be difficult. Maybe when I land I will know the result. I go back to Italy [and then] tomorrow at seven o'clock I come back so I won't watch the match. The performance was good after the first 15 minutes, when we were a little scared. United started very well and it was difficult for us to restart. After the goal we played better and I think the draw is the right result. I wasn't worried because we have very good heart and I knew we would react. I appreciated our performance."
