Renato Sanches has not sustained a serious injury

The upcoming match at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 17:00 GMT holds potential positive news for the team as Renato Sanches, initially a concern after a muscular issue during training, may be available, with recent reports indicating no significant lesions. While the midfielder might feature at least on the bench, the more significant development is the anticipated return of captain Lorenzo Pellegrini to the starting XI.

Pellegrini, sidelined since October 5 due to a thigh injury, is poised for a comeback after overcoming recurring muscular problems that limited his appearances earlier in the season. However, the team continues to face setbacks, with Chris Smalling, Tammy Abraham, and Marash Kumbulla still on the treatment table, the former showing no signs of imminent return, while the latter two recover from anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
