It's no secret that Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini is looking for more attacking alternatives, even with players like Matías Soulé, Paulo Dybala, Evan Ferguson, and even Artem Dovbyk at his disposal. Even though rewinding Jadon Sancho's time with Dortmund could make Roma's front line unstoppable, the transfer might not go through because of his extremely high salary.
A significant update, meanwhile, might have slipped between the cracks because the Romaverse was enraged by the latest Sancho rumours: Roma apparently has an agreement in place for a more affordable alternative. The Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma and Wolverhampton attacker Fabio Silva have reached an agreement on a five-year contract worth €2.5 million annually. The 23-year-old Silva has had a difficult time adjusting to life in England after joining Wolves in 2020 for a record-breaking €40 million.
