According to Italian publication FCInterNews, the 27-year-old may be moved into attacking midfield as a result of the alteration to a 3-4-2-1 configuration. One player who has already switched positions a few times throughout his career is Marcus Thuram. The France international is quite adaptable. He started out as a winger but filled a variety of positions at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Thuram often played for Gladbach in a variety of positions, from attacking midfield to out wide. Additionally, he played as an all-out center-forward during his final season with the team. Additionally, Thuram was signed by Inter with the intention of playing centre forward. Under Simone Inzaghi, he spent two seasons playing that position. But Cristian Chivu's appointment as Inter's coach is signalling a shift in the team's lineup.
