Former player stays in touch with his team

Franck Kessie, who joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer from AC Milan, was unable to establish himself as a consistent starter. He did, however, assist the team in winning the Spanish Super Cup and La Liga for the first time in four years during his one and only season. Kessie joined the horde of players who deserted Europe for the Middle East in the summer, leaving Barcelona to play for Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia. With Barcelona receiving €12.5 million in exchange for the Ivorian's sale, the agreement helped to alleviate some of their financial difficulties.

Kessie told e-noticies (via Sport) that he still stays in touch with his old club, Barcelona, even if he had only been there for a year. He felt quite at home in Catalonia. "I miss the welcoming atmosphere of Camp Nou and the fans' encouragement.
