Klopp confirms Coutinho will be out until January

The League Cup continued this Tuesday as Liverpool played against Leeds United, it was a day in which Jurgen Klopp had confirmed that Philippe Coutinho wasn't going to feature until January for the Reds. The manager needed to find new options on the attack, it was time to look at the reserves and pick a young talent everybody had been talking about: young lad Ben Woodburn who was eager to become the youngest player to score a goal for Liverpool.

Before the match, Klopp gave the news of Coutinho on BBC Radio 5 live: "Phil needs between five and a few weeks until we have him back. We will see. He is not in for tonight and for the next few games. Phil Coutinho is a really good football player. So if we cannot use him for the next few days or weeks, each team in the world would feel it, that's how it is. But of course I can say now there is no excuse for anything. As good as he is, he cannot decide games by himself, even when it looks sometimes like this because he takes the ball, dribbles and shoots. But then it's only a goal or whatever, then everybody has to defend so it's really a team performance that we create."

But as the game arrived, the hype was major to see Ben Woodburn make his debut and see if he was capable of scoring  a goal 98 days before Micheal Owen did when he was also 17. Ben just turned 17 on October 15, he finally got his chance and didn't disappoint, it only took him a few minutes to score. Anfield saw today how a star was born in Liverpool, rest assured we'll be seeing more of this kid.
