PSV closing in on title glory in Nederland

PSV’s march toward another Eredivisie triumph has accelerated after a gritty 2-1 victory over AZ, widening their advantage at the top to a commanding 19 points. With rivals Feyenoord stuttering and Ajax slipping further off the pace, the title race is rapidly becoming a one‑team affair.

Flashscore’s projections suggest PSV could clinch the championship as early as April 4, when they face FC Utrecht in round 29. Securing the trophy that day would mark the earliest title win in league history, surpassing their own 1978 milestone. A more extreme scenario—winning it in round 27—would require a 22‑point gap, but current form makes even that feel within reach.

PSV’s dominance is reinforced by eight wins in their last ten matches and a favourable remaining schedule. With Feyenoord inconsistent, Ajax drifting, and NEC and Twente battling behind them, the path to title number 27 looks increasingly unobstructed.
