Liverpool is reaching a form that any side in Europe would fear right now, they turn their matches into victories with great performances and a great deal of good luck. They had a pending match against Everton they postponed on the same day they lost the League Cup against Manchester City, the Reds were coming from a really good run where they qualified to the Europa League semifinals after a thrilling performance against Borussia Dortmund and kept their momentum in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp seems to have finally hit the right key, this turns them into the most dangerous team in England right now.
The first half started with a very leveled performance by both teams, it had to be a player with a good streak the one who got the first goal of the match. Origi put Liverpool in front on the 43rd minute by heading home Milner's deep cross from close range and draw first blood. Two minutes later, centre back Sakho made it 2-0 as he thumped in a close-range header from Coutinho's cross. The half time whistle took Liverpool to the locker room with this lead.
Four minutes into the second half, Argentine Ramiro Funes Mori got sent off after a nasty tackle on Origi who wasn't able to continue, Daniel Sturridge had to take his place. It took the Englishman less than ten minutes to get the third for the Reds and his 50th with the club as Lucas won a possession deep inside the Toffies' half, he played in Sturridge who did the rest for Liverpool's third goal. By this point, Everton had nothing more to do to respond.
After the sent-off, Liverpool started to develop the game they desired at will. fifteen minutes before the end, the Reds got a fourth goal as Coutinho found the bottom with a low curler from the edge of the box after being set up by Clyne. This was Liverpool's final goal and secured the seventh spot for this fixture with one less match to play from the rest of the teams in the tournament. Next Saturday, they will play against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
