It's evident that thinking about the club's future right now is something nobody can discuss right now, but it's inevitable to think about what the next steps will be for Brazilian club Champecoense which just lost the majority of its players due to a tragic plane crash. Many clubs in the American continent have already offered players to go on loan and help the club remain in the professional tournament, but there hadn't been any big names attached to the revival until now.
For a legendary player like Ronaldinho who lost his friend Matheus in that plan crash, this could be the most fitting and perfect way to end his career. Lending his services to Chapecoense after this tragedy, could be the perfect homage he can pay to all the deceased players and to their families. His brother Roberto spoke to Globo about the possibility, but he first wanted to remind everyone that they have to take care of the families first. But the chance is there.
He said: "Everyone is still affected by the accident. It's a very difficult time, it's all happened now. But as far as we are concerned, we will help. I do not know if it would be in a game or some other way. Moving forward, if there is a contact, we can talk. I can only say that we are here and we want to help. I think that remembering the name of Ronaldinho, he is someone that everyone likes and he is without a club. He fits into the profile, he can be the right guy. But the time now is to help families, and it would not be cool to set expectations for now. As Brazilians, we feel involved. We are together."
