We have always seen how Paul Pogba claims he wants to be the best player in the world, in order to get there he has to start scoring 50 goals per season and be constant like Messi and Ronaldo have been for the past 8 seasons. It's better if Paul Pogba first goes step by step and doesn't go too crazy with his objectives, there is no doubt he will at least get close to those two monsters.
But for Paul Scholes who is a certified United legend, Paul Pogba should focus more on staying true to his natural abilities. He first started out as a central midfielder but he evolved the position whilst playing for Juventus to a more offensive role which suited him well. But Scholes thinks Pogba's potential will be exploited if he plays right behind the strikers, Mourinho has used him more as a defensive midfielder so far.
Talking to BT Sport, Scholes said this: "Pogba seems to be a little all over the place at times. I think he's trying to do too much on the ball. He's trying to beat three or four players. He's running with the ball. He should keep it simple for now. That’s not the player Manchester United bought. They didn't buy a Messi to go and beat five players and stick it in the top corner all the time. They bought a powerful, strong midfield player who can take the ball.
"He's got skill, he can pass it forward, he can run. If he just plays one-two touch, sticks the ball into Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] and runs, nobody can live with that. He's got so much pace, so much power. I think he [Pogba] needs, as he's shown at Juventus, a controlling midfielder next to him and I think Michael's got that controlled ability on the ball."
