Copa America Centenario: Jamaica vs Venezuela preview

During the last Copa America, there was a very pleasant surprise in Chile 2015, the Jamaica National Team managed to put up a fight against the South American teams and even reached the Confederations Cup final which they lost to Mexico. This team could be one of the surprises of this Copa America Centenraio on the Concacaf side, any team who underestimates them will have a tough time finding answers in what happened if they get defeated by the Reggae Boys.

The Venezuela side has some strong names on the attack, mainly Salomon Rondon who is their most effective centre forward. They have a more experienced side which is craving some Copa America success after last year they weren't able to do a great job in the last edition in Chile back in 2015. They are currently on the 74th spot on the FIFA rankings, but that doesn't take the danger factor away from them.

On the Jamaican side, they have many important players who currently play in England for both the Premier League and the Championship. But perhaps their most important player, is without question, skipper Wes Morgan. He took the Foxes from Leicester City to their first ever Premier League title just two seasons after they were promoted to the highest level of football in England. The Soldier Field in Chicago will get packed this Sunday for the first match of Group B in this Copa America Centenario opener.

Possible lineups:

Jamaica starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Blake; Taylor, Morgan, Mariappa, Lawrence; Watson, Austin, McAnuff, Dawkins; Barnes, Orgill.

Venezuela starting lineup (4-3-2-1 formation): Hernandez; Velazquez, Vizcarrondo, Rosales, Gonzalez; Guerra, Seijas, Otero; Rincon, Rondón; Martinez.
