Ronaldinho denies he's lacked competitiveness, we'd like to differ

We all have to stop for a second and realize, that Ronaldinho can be considered among the best players in history regardless of how little time he remained at the top. However, it's easy to understand the countless people who demanded so much more from the player because they feel like he could've been as dominant if not more so than Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are today. We understand if Ronaldinho feels like he did everything within his capabilities, but we beg to differ.

Just imagine how great he could've been, if playing at less than half of his full capabilities he still got to win the Serie A with AC Milan, a Copa Libertadores with Atletico Mineiro and even reached another final with Queretaro in Mexico. That is with less than half of what he was capable of we are sure, he still won every single trophy a football player can win and for that, he remains as one of the top ten players in football history according to Metafootball's research.

But talking to Marca, Ronaldinho wanted to defend his position and tell everyone that h remained competitive: "I started at Gremio and won titles, the same at PSG and at Barca I won everything. I went to Queretaro [in Mexico] and for the first time in their history they reached a final. At Flamengo we went seven months without losing a game, then Atletico Mineiro won their first Libertadores Cup during my time at the club. I think I've been very competitive."
