Sahin demands more concentration from Dortmund

At this stage of the season, many teams that had been showing a good form tend to drop their level dramatically just like Borussia Dortmund or Barcelona are doing right now. On the Dortmund side, they are going to face Liverpool FC on the Europa League's return leg next Thursday at Anfield Road. Turkish midfielder Nuri Sahin, is aware of this level drop and wants the team to get back to their winning ways against the Reds this week.

Winning against Liverpool after that 1-1 draw at Signal Iduna Park last Thursday, might be their only chance at getting some silverware this season. Up until the Liverpool match, the Dortmund squad was considered as one of the main title contenders this season but everything changed when they faced former manager Jurgen Klopp. Sahin knows they cannot let this opportunity get past them as he criticized his team's performance of the last two games.

Talking to sport Bild, Sahin showed his concern ahead of the Liverpool match next Thursday: "We were very sloppy on the ball and our passing was extremely poor. We were unable to dominate in midfield. The absence of some first-team regulars cannot be an excuse. We should not be looking for excuses. We simply did not put in a good performance. We have to get in dangerous positions more. Only then can we make the most of our attacking strength. But a 2-2 draw away against Liverpool would see us progress. That would be alright."
