Ronald Araújo addressed criticism after Barcelona’s Champions League exit.

In response to the intense criticism directed at him following the team's Champions League elimination, Barcelona player Ronald Araújo has gone to social media. Of course, during the past several days, the name of defender Araújo has dominated the headlines in Catalunya's capital.

Unfortunately for Uruguayans, however, a lot of this occurs for completely unfavourable reasons. Araújo has been held largely responsible for Barcelona's sad loss to Inter Milan, which ended their aspirations of winning the treble. After being introduced off the bench at San Siro, the 26-year-old failed to cover himself in glory en route to Inter netting their third and fourth goals of the evening. And the Blaugrana faithful have since not allowed Araújo to forget as much, with many having gone as far as to call for the stopper to depart the club at the earliest opportunity.
